Former Most-Wanted Hacker, Kevin Mitnick, Passes Away

Kevin Mitnick, who rose to infamy--and to the FBI "Most Wanted" list--for his hacking, and ended up as a fugitive, before ending up behind bars, has died of cancer in Las Vegas. Mitnick was based in the San Fernando Valley and was well known among computer and electronics enthusiasts in the region. He later became a "white hat" hacking consultant after release from prison. According to Mitnick's obituary, he had been battling pancreatic cancer for more than a year.
