    Verari Raises $13.275M For Blade Server Systems


    San Diego-based Verari Systems has raised $13.275M for its blade server systems. The Series B funding came from Carlyle Venture Partners, the venture fund managed by private equity giant The Carlyle Group. Existing Verari Systems investors Sierra Ventures, Voyager Capital, and Celerity Partners also participated. The company said that it would use the investment to increase its research and development for its blade servers, which the company is targeting toward the utility computing market. Verari also said that it had added Bob Grady, Managing Partner of Carlyle, to its board. The funding brings the company's total venture funding to $34.146M. Verari has more than 265 employees worldwide.
