Jaalaa Teams With Mitsumi

San Diego-based Jaalaa, a RF system on a chip developer, said yesterday that Mitsumi Electric Co. will use Jaalaa's system-on-chip for its new wireless networking system. Mitsui will tap the Jaalaa KillerBee XR System to provide connectivity to wireless electronic shelf label (wESL) applications. The equipment is being targeted for monitoring shelf tags for grocery retailers, asset tracking, and remote control. Jaalaa is backed by venture capital firm ComVentures.
