Revver Finds Dollars For Users
Los Angeles-based Revver this morning is claiming that two of its users have earned more than $28,000 based on their creation and distribution of viral videos. Revver said this morning that Fritz Grobe and Stephen Voltz, creaters of the "Diet Coke and Mentos Experiment" earned the money by using Revver's video distribution system. Revver competes against YouTube and other user-generated content and distribution web sites, and is looking to carve a niche by allowing video makers and content owners to match up with advertisers. Revver is backed by Bessemer Venture Partners, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, and Draper Richards.
