Fullerton-based mobile app developer HipGeo has tied with Rough Guides, the travel guide publisher, for a set of iPhone and iPad apps, the companies said yesterday. According to the two, the Rough Guide Trip Lens app for the iPad and iPhone is available and free for the app store, allowing users to share their travel adventures, photos, and text. The apps incorporate technology from HipGeo which captures a user's location, and allows them to share their travels with friends and family. Business details between Rough Guides and HipGeo were not announced. HipGeo is headed by Rich Rygg. The firm develops mobile apps which help users track their travels and share photos and other info.
