In one of the first major updates to its service since its acquisition, Geni, the Los Angeles-based family tree site, said it has started adding historical records and information to its family trees. Geni said the move comes as a result of two new features, Record Matching and SMart Matching, which helps link records from MyHeritage to its family trees. Geni was acquired by MyHeritage in November. Geni said the move will add "significant" new detail to its family tree service.
