GoDaddy Prices IPO, Debuts On NYSE Today

GoDaddy, the provider of Internet domain name and related hosting services--and which has a significant LA presence due to its ownership of LA's Media Temple--priced its IPO late Tuesday evening at $20.00 per share. The price is above its initial estimated pricing range of $17.00 to $19.00 per share. The company debuts on the New York Stock Exchange as GDDY this morning. GoDaddy is backed by KKR, Silver Lake, and Technology Crossover Ventures. GoDaddy acquired Media Temple‌ in 2013, as the company began its push into attracting more small business customers. GoDaddy is based in Arizona. GoDaddy's Media Temple unit is led here in Los Angeles by longtime LA technology vet Russ Reeder.
