Pasadena-based Goldstar, the half-price, entertainment ticket retailer headed by Jim McCarthy, said Monday that it has launched a new feature which lets users easily get seats next to their friends on events. The firm said its "Sit with Friends" feature lets customers share live entertainment events with friends, which will help users get tickets near each other even if they buy their tickets separately. The new feature was launched just as the firm hit its five millionth ticket sold through the service. GoldStar offers up half price and discounted tickets to local entertainment venues, helping users to score last minute entertainment, and helping venues to sell their unsold inventory. Goldstar had said it was approaching five million tickets sold on August 17th. Los Angeles-based TicketMaster unveiled its own, social feature just last week allowing users to see where their friends are sitting at events purchase through the ticketing service.
