Grindr Names New CEO Ahead Of SPAC

Los Angeles-based LGBTQ dating app developer Grindr has just named a new CEO, ahead of a SPAC for the company. According to Grindr, it has named George Arison as CEO, who was the former co-founder and CEO of auto e-commerce marketplace Shift Technologies, which had its own SPAC in June of 2020. Grindr also appointed Vanna Krantz as CFO; Krantz is currently CFO of Passport Labs and also was at Disney. The company has been in a wholesale shift of the executive team of Grindr ahead of its SPAC effort. Bloomberg said Arison is one of the very few openly gay men to currently run a public company.
