HopSkipDrive Picks Up $25M More

Los Angeles-based HopSkipDrive, which operates a transportation service focused on kids and school, has raised $25M in its Series C funding, according to the company. The company said the new funding came from Energy Impact Partners, Keyframe Capital, FirstMark Capital, and 1776 Ventures. The company--which originally focused on families, but now is focused on providing youth transportation for schools--says now is operating in 16 major markets in nine states, and is now contracting with over 300 schools, districts, and government agencies. The company said the new funding will go towards its school transportation efforts, and for expansion. HopSkipDrive is led by co-founder and CEO Joanna McFarland. The company said it is currently complementing bus service, helping to combat bus driver shortages and also help with inefficient routes. The new funding will also go towards electrification efforts by HopSkipDrive.
