    Hughes Appoints VP Government Relations
    El Segundo-based Hughes Electronics has appointed Susan Eid as VP Government Relations. Eid was most recently legal advisor to Federal Communications Commission Chairman Michael Powell, and will oversee all regulatory and legislative affairs for Hughes Electronics and its DIRECTV subsidiary.
