Invio Gets DoD Win
San Diego-based Invio Biomedical announced today that it will receive a $1.1M appropriation from the United States Department of Defense, to develop applications of its technology for vaccination against infectious disease. The firm said that the funding was part of the Defense Appropriations Bill for 2007. Invio is developing gene delivery systems for gene-based vaccines. The win is part of the firm's work with USAMRIID in Fort Detrick, Maryland.
