    Iomega Ups Removable Storage Ante

In a bid to regain the company's edge in removable storage, San Diego-based Iomega (www.iomega.com) has announced a new high capacity removable hard drive which provides 35GB of capacity on a drive smaller than a deck of playing cards. The company is targeting the new drive at desktop and server backups, where users have used previously used tape and CDRW backup solutions. The solution leapfrogs the company's existing Zip 100, 250, and 750MB products, which have suffered recently due a lack of competitiveness against inexpensive CDRW drives and media.
