    iRise Gets Simulation Patent


    El Segundo-based iRise, a provider of software tools for designing applications, announced this week that it has been awarded its first U.S. Patent. The patent, number 7,174,286, was granted February 6th. According to the firm's patent filing, the patent is entitled "Systems and methods for defining a simulated interactive web page", and was granted to Maurice Martin, Stephen Brickley, Leon Amdour, Alex Kravets, Brian Fan, Dominic Infante, Stuart Larking, and Paul Aldama. The patent was originally filed in January of 2004. iRise said it has four other patent applications under review. iRise is venture backed by Morgan Stanley Venture Partners.
