Irvine Scientific Sold To FujiFilm

Irvine Scientific, which makes cell culture media and other products for the biopharmaceutical, cell therapy, and medical market, has been sold to FujiFilm, according to current owner JXTG Nippon Oil & Energy Corporation. Financial terms of the acquisition wre not announced. JXTG Energ had acquired Irvine Scientific in 1987. Irvine Scientific is actually now based in Santa Ana. The company also has significant operations in Japan.
