Los Angeles-based LeadBolt, which operates a mobile app promotion and advertising network, said this week that it has launched a new ad technology. The company said its new Floating Ad technology offers up advertising which resembles a mobile gaming app, and helps target users using a "game-like" experience. LeadBolt's CEO is Dale Carr; the firm said the new ads revolve around floating bubbles which users "pop" to learn about ads. The company said the new ad format is a response to the recent policy changes on Google Play around push notifications.
