    Lindows No More

San Diego-based Lindows (www.lindowsinc.com) has given up its fight against Microsoft, and has changed the company's product name to Linspire. The company had claimed that it had rights to use the name, however Microsoft had recently won a suit in France over trademark infringement and was threatened by lawsuits in a number of other countries. In a statement released by the company, Lindow's CEO Michael Robertson said that the product would be renamed Linspire and all products would be rebranded. However, the company will continue to use Lindows in its corporate name.
