MaxLinear Gets Equipment Certification

Carlsbad-based MaxLinear says it has received a new equipment certification, for some of its semiconductors, used for fiber-to-the-home applications. According to the company, its AnyWAN home gateway systems-on-a-chip (SoC) has been XGS-PON and G-PON as part of the Broadband Forum BBF.247 Optical Network Unit (ONU) Certification Program. The company said its SoC is aimed at use in fixed-wireless-access gateways with 5G WAN and Wi-F 7.
