MaxLinear Hits Shipment Milestone

Carslbad-based MaxLinear reported this morning that it has hit a shipment milestone, and has shipped more than 10 million of its DVB-2 tuners to the market so far. The company's chip is used in the design of set-top boxes. MaxLinear is a developer of radio frequency (RF) and mixed signal integrated circuits. MaxLinear said the shipments came due to strong demand in markets using the DVB-T2 standard, including in western and eastern Europe, Russia and Southeast Asia (Thailand, Indonesia) and Africa.
