McLaren Silicon Launches New Venture, Atlas Silicon

Irvine-based McLaren Strategic Ventures (MSV) said today that it has launched a new business, Atlas Silicon, which will use artificial intelligence for customized chip design. The company did not say how much it is investing in Atlas Silicon. McLaren Strategic Ventures is associated with $200M special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) McLaren Technology Acquisition Corporation. According to McLaren Strategic Ventures, it is starting to establish an ASIC design engineering team to combine hardware and software to produce "cutting edge advancements in AI-ML, metaverse, Autonomous, and other industries", planning to hire 100 ASIC engineers in India.
