MicroPower Links With Access Control Systems Firm
San Diego-based MicroPower Technologies, the developer of wireless, solar-powered surveillance products, said this week that it has linked with access control systems developer Lenel Systems International. According to MicroPower, it has received factory certification for Lenel, which makes access control systems. Lenel is part of United Technologies Corp. MicroPower said its Helios surveillance products now directly interface with Lenel's access control systems. MicroPower's video surveillance products are solar powered, and use low power wireless technology to remove the need for power or data connections--making it much easier to install and place surveillance cameras. The company is one of the companies which has come out of the EvoNexus startup accelerator, the accelerator run by CommNexus.
