Mobicip Adds Parental Filtering for iPhone, Netbooks

Thousand Oaks-based Mobicip, a developer of web filtering products for parents, disclosed this morning that the firm has rolled out a new product targeted at parents of children with iPhones, the iPod Touch, and Netbooks. The firm said its new product, Mobicip.com Premium, offers tracking and filtering of web usage based on age-appropriate filtering levels, and also allows parents to create their own lists of allowed and disallowed web site for browsing. Mobicip uses Amazon.com's EC2 to power its service. According to the firm's web site, the new premium version of its offering costs $9.99 for an annual subscription.
