Santa Monica-based Movieclips.com, an online site which allows users to search for scenes from major movies, and embed them on Facebook, MySpace, and other web sites, said today that it has opened up its service to users worldwide. The firm also said it has released an API to allow developers to access the firm's clips and related metadata. The startup says it has around 12,000 movie clips from major Hollywood studios on its site.
