    MRV Ships Out of Band Management Devices


    Chatsworth-based MRV Communications, a provider of components for the optical and metro Ethernet and other industries, has shipped a new product for the management of networking devices. The company said yesterday that it has shipped a new line of multiple-port, console servers, the LX 4000T. The new devices are used by administrators to access network devices for management via serial port via secure interface. The new device supports per-port password, SSH 2.0, RADIUS, SecureID, TACAS+, and other features.
