    MySpace.com Ties Into The Office

Los Angeles-based social networking site MySpace.com and NBC announced that they have joined together to tie in an online webcast of NBC's upcoming series, "The Office". NBC will debut a complete episode of the new series online in advance of its network debut, and today will offer a "webisode" version of the serires online for viewing on demand. A group centered around The Office series will be created on the MySpace.com service, and will allow users to create personal profiles, blogs, and other content around the series. The move comes as Yahoo starts ramping a beta of its own community service, Yahoo 360, which like MySpace allows users to share blogs, photos, music, and other content with their friends. According to the latest comScore Media Metrix study, MySpace.com was the most popular online social networking service, with 8.9 million unique visitors last month. MySpace recently raised a series of funding led by Redpoint Ventures.
