Los Angeles-based MySpace is continuing its efforts to help copyright holders keep materials from the firm's popular online social networking web site, saying today that it has launched a new feature called "Take Down Stay Down". The new feature prevents users from re-posting video content which has been tagged as violating the rights of a copyright holder. The new feature is intended to block people from re-posting content as a new user, or to a different user after that content was removed from the site. MySpace is tapping technology from Audible Magic to detect copyright violations.
