National Lampoon Takes Stake In Social Networking Site

Los Angeles-based National Lampoon, a provider of comedy content for the film, television, audio, and book publishing markets, said Tuesday that it has taken an equity stake in Montreal-based Capazoo. Capazoo operates an online social networking and user-generated video site. Terms of the investment by National Lampoon were not disclosed. According to National Lampoon, the deal calls for it to provide online video content and branded marketing opportunities to Capazoo. National Lampoon said that all of its new Internet programming will be available through a co-branded channel on Capazoo's web site.
