Newegg Harnesses Warehouse Robots

City of Industry-based online e-commerce company Newegg says it has adopted a new, warehouse robotics system, from a company called Geek+. According to the company, it has deployed autonomous, mobile robots in its Ontario, California warehouse, in order to move mobile shelves to workstations where employees pick and scan products to prepare for shipping to customers. The company did not say how much it is spending on the new technology; the company said it will provide "improved efficiency and productivity; accurate fulfillment; reduced labor costs; safety and ergonomics, and space optimization."
