Broadcom Speeds Wi-FiIrvine-based Broadcom has rolled out a Wi-Fi chipset which provides a boost to 802.11g wireless networks. The company's MaxPerformance chipset is compatible with 802.11g networks but also includes a "performance" mode which boosts the signal rate to 125mbps.
