Ixia Expands Custom Engineering Team
Calabasas-based Ixia (www.ixiacom.com) has expanded its custom engineering team that provides custom scripts and automation to its customers. According to the company, the team has been expanded at its Southern California headquarters, San Francisco, the Eastern US, and China and Japan. The company also said that it will also soon be expanding the team in Europe and India. SMC Unveils ADSL2 Product Plan
Irvine-based SMC Networks (www.smc.com) has unveiled a new line of products targeted at the new ADSL2 market. SMC said that it will start shipping the ADSL2 Barricade, a Wi-Fi certified, ADSL router which provides both an 802.11g wireless access point with four 10/100Mbps Ethernet connections into a ADSL line. The company said that the product is currently being tested by major ISPs and will be available in Q4 of this year. CarsDirect.com Launches New Auto Research Site
Los Angeles-based CarsDirect.com (www.carsdirect.com) announced that it has created a new auto research site, Autos.com (www.autos.com) providing a vehicle ranking system with automotive research comparison tools. The new site offers information on invoice price, resale values, safety and performance, all coupled with the company's ranking system of each feature.
