SeeBeyond Gets UK Win
Monrovia-based Seebeyond has signed a UK government organization for its integration application. The UK Hampshire Constabulary has tapped Seebeyond's application suite to integrate the county's information systems and record management applications. Seebeyond's software will be used to connect over 100 different, incomptabile systems. Seebeyond's software connects disparate enterprise IT information systems, helping companies to tie together IT systems and information.

IP3 Networks Expands In Germany
San Diego-based IP3 Networks announced today that it has signed on a new German Distributor. The company, which provides access control solutions for broadband wireless and wired networks, said that it has signed Sysob IT-Distribution GmbH to sell and supports its NetAccess products. Sysob will distribute the products to VARs and systems integrators in Germany and Austria. Ixia Upgrades Packet Data Over Cable Testing Solution
Calabasas-based Ixia said this morning that it has upgraded its IxVoice analysis solution for testing packet data over cable. The company's new release adds support for PSTN and VoIP technologies, and procotols such as MGCP, COPS, and SS7. The solution's new Packet over Cable test suite is targeted at equipment manufacturers and cable operators looking to verify performance and interoperability of their solutions.

Preventsys Updates Compliance Software
Carlsbad-based Preventsys announced that it has upgraded its policy and regulatory compliance module for its enterprise management system. The company said that it has updated the software to include the latest compliance rules from Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) and Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) guidelines. Medicinova Sets IPO Range
In more biotech-related IPO activity, San Diego-based Medicinova has set an estimated IPO range of $2.75 to $4.75 per share. The company is looking to raise up to $185M. Medicinova is developing pharmaceutical products for the urology and obstetrics/gynecology markets. The company had lost $44M on revenues of 354K in the nine months ending September 30, 2004, and has one product in Phase II and one Phase I clinical trials. The company's offering is being underwritten by Daiwa Securities.

Favrille Sets IPO Pricing Range
San Diego-based biotech firm Favrille set the range for its IPO Friday, saying that it will offer up to 6.9M shares of its stock at $12.00 to $14.00 per share. The company is developing patient-specific therapeutics for lymphoma and diseases of the immune system. The company has applied to list its stock on the Nasdaq as FVRL. The company's IPO is being underwritten by Bear Stearns & Co., CIBC World Markets, Needham & Company, and AG Edwards.
