Qualte Changes Name To HostedSupport.com
Los Angeles-based Qualte announced yesterday that it has renamed the company HostedSupport.com. HostedSupport provides online customer support applications that allow businesses to automate their online customer support. The company said that it changed its name to easily identify the company as a provider of hosted customer support solutions, and to align its name with its ezSupport and ezSupport Pro products. HostedSupport recently raised $3M in funding from PMC Global.

MailersClub Inks Deal With Kofax
Los Angeles-based MailersClub.com announced that it has inked a deal with Kofax to provide a private label version of MailersClub's direct mail service. Kofax will offer MailersClub's mailing list and printing services to its clients. The MailersClub service allows small and medium sized businesses, departments, and groups to easily develop and mail direct mail pieces such as postcards, letters, and self-mailers. Xamlon Ships Beta XAML Tool
La Jolla-based Xamlon released a new beta version of its tool for creating XAML-based applications today. Xamlon Pro Compact Edition beta 2 allows developers to build applications based on Microsoft's new XAML language, part of Microsoft's .NET suite of development software. Xamlon's tool enables development of applications on platforms such as Pocket PCs and smart phones. SAIC Sells Content Analyst Product Division
San Diego-based SAIC has sold its Content Analyst Product Division to Content Analyst Company LLC, a new company in Reston, Va. Disney Offers Mickey Mouse Ringtones
North Hollywood-based Disney Mobile announced that it is now offering consumers a array of voice ringtones from popular Disney and Disney/Pixar characters. Earthlink Taps X1 For Search Tool
Earthlink has quietly unveiled a new real time email search tool that subscribers can download from its web site. According to a report by ZDNet, the new tool taps technology from Pasadena-based X1 Technologies, and allows users to search email and attachments instantly. McAfee Ships Google Hacking Tool
McAfee's Foundstone division has released an upgraded tool that uses Google to help companies find vulnerabilities in their corporate web sites. The SiteDigger 2.0 tool sends queries to Google to determine if the sites have unconfigured or exposed software, taking advantage of Google's search engine index.
