IOGEAR Ships USB Docking Station
Irvine-based IOGEAR has launched a new device which provides docking station support to any laptop computer. The company's new USB 2.0 Docking Station provides Ethernet, PS/2 ports, audio in and audio-out, serial port, and three USB 2.0 ports to any laptop computer with a USB port and running Windows 2000/XP/Me/98SE. The station is an alternative for users of laptops without docking station support and who need the additional connectivity and convenience for desktop use.

CinemaNow Adds ABC News
Marina Del Rey-based broadband content firm CinemaNow has added ABC News content to its service. According to the company, ABC News content, including Good Morning America, World News Tonight With Peter Jennings, 20/20 and other ABC News reports will be available for download and streaming from CinemaNow. The content is available as part of CinemaNow's premium subscription service and will include daily reports from the ABC News shows. WebSideStory Acquires Atomz For $40M
San Diego-based WebSideStory has acquired Avivo Corporation (Atomz) which provides site search and web content management for approximately $40M in cash and stock. WebSideStory will launch a new integrated service for online marketing professionals based on the acquisition. WebSideStory said that it will combine Atomz's hosted site search and web content management application with its own HBX web analytics service. Infotrieve Buys Electronic Laboratory Notebook Firm
Los Angeles-based Infotrieve said today that it has acquired GenSys Software, a provider of electronic laboratory notebook software for the life sciences and chemistry industry. Infotrieve will tap the Gensys/ELN software for Infostrieve's life sciences electronic research platform. Terms were not disclosed. Powerwave Buys Wireless Company
Santa Ana-based Powerwave Technologies said this morning that it has acquired Kaval Wireless, a provider of in-building wireless coverage solutions. The deal is worth $10.8M in cash. Powerwave will also assume selected liabilities of Kaval. Kaval provides turn-key, in-building coverage for the corporate, wireless service, and public safety markets. Space Entrepreneurs Create Industry Group
