InfoSearch Media Adds Ask Jeeves Exec To Board
Marina Del Rey-based search engine optimization (SEO) firm InfoSearch Media said this morning that it has added Claudio Pinkus to the company's board of director. Pinkus was most recently COO of Ask Jeeves International, and also served as Chief Strategy Officer of the search engine firm. Pinkus has also served as CEO of Bowne Global Solutions. Omnilux Appoints CEO
Pasadena-based Omnilux is announcing today that it has appointed Suresh Nihalani as CEO of the company. Nihalani was most recently founder of Nevis Networks and was the founder of Accelerated Networks. Omnilux is developing technology for optical wireless broadband, and is backed and fully owned by Pasadena-based Idealab. Peregrine Systems, Protiviti in Strategic Alliance
San Diego-based Peregrine Systems and risk consulting provider Protiviti said this morning that the two companies have entered into a strategic alliance targeted at Sarbanes Oxley compliance. The companies will deliver an asset management solution that helps CFOs and CIOs meet compliance requirements through IT auditing. ViewSonic Intros New FPDs For Commercial Applications
Walnut-based monitor manufacturer ViewSonic said this morning that it has introduced two new flat panel, large-screen displays targeted specifically at digital signage, videoconferencing, and other commercial applications. The new 40-inch N4000wp and 42-inch VPW4200 plasma displays are designed for use in airports, conference rooms, information kiosks, and other public displays. Disney Launches Online Playhouse Disney Service
North Hollywood-based Disney Online announced this morning that it is launching a new premium subscription service based on its popular Playhouse Disney programs. The division of Walt Disney Internet Group said that it has begun development of a Playhouse Disney Preschool Time Online, a broadband service targeted at preschool age children.
