VivoMetrics Adds to Advisory Board
Ventura-based VivoMetrics announced this week that it has added Arthur R. Bartolozzi, M.D. to its scientific advisory board. Bartolozzi is Chief of Sports Medicine at the The University of Pennsylvania Health System's Pennsylvania Hospital. VivoMetrics develops the LifeShirt System, a wearable garment used for monitoring respiratory and cardiopulmonary functions. Preventsys Expands Channel
Carlsbad-based Preventsys has expanded its channel with a new Canadian channel partner. The company said that it has signed on Cyberklix, a security management provider, as a reseller of its enterprise security management systems to Canadian customers. Preventsys provides a system that helps customers manage IT security, auditing, and compliance.

CaminoSoft Qualifies Software With EMC Centera
Westlake Village-based CaminoSoft, a storage software developer in the hierarchical storage management space, said that it has qualified its software with EMC's popular Centera hardware. CaminoSoft said that its solutions for Novell Netware, GroupWise, and Microsoft Windows 2000/2003 have been certified through EMC's Centera Proven program as interoperable. Shopzilla Reports Revenue, Profit Growth
Los Angeles-based Shopzilla announced today that the online comparison shopping engine had strong second quarter growth. The firm reported its operating revenues for Q2 2005 were $29.5M, a 113% year to year growth, and that it earned $7.6M on that revenue. Growth was also strong quarter-to-quarter, as the company grew from last quarter's $26.9M first quarter revenues. Shopzilla was acquired in June by the E.W. Yahoo! Launches Publisher Network
Yahoo's announced today that it is extending its publishing network in the U.S. to small- and medium-sized web sites, including publishers of blogs and other content. Yahoo's Pasadena-based advertising and pay-per-click division said that the extension of its advertising network will allow small and medium-sized web sites to take advantage of the company's network of advertising products, and easy access to other syndicated Yahoo! content and products.
