Mindspeed Expands Board of Directors
Newport Beach-based semiconductor firm Mindspeed Technologies announced today that it has elected Michael Hayashi to its board of directors. Hayashi is SVP of Advanced Engineering and Subscriber Technologies at Time Warner Cable. The company said that it tapped Hayashi for his knowledge of broadband cable consumer technologies and markets. The board seat is a new position.

SOA Software Inks JetBlue
Santa Monica-based SOA Software announced this morning that it has signed on JetBlue Airways as a customer of its web services service manager. JetBlue has selected the company's software to manage its Web Services architecture based infrastructure. SOA Software develops Web Services management software used for deploying corporate applications. The JetBlue system is based on Microsoft .NET, BizTalk Server, and SQL Server, with SOA's software being used to create a web services mediation layer.

Yahoo Search Marketing Opens APIs
Pasadena-based Yahoo! Search Marketing said this morning that it has opened up its application programming interfaces to web analytics companies, allowing those firms to monitor click through rates and performance of ads. The pay per click advertising network said that Coremetrics, Omniture, WebTrends, and WebSiteStory will be able to log information from Yahoo into their analytics software, allowing customers to optimize advertiser campaigns. Amp'd Mobile Raises $67M
Mobile content entertainment company Amp'd Mobile is announcing this morning that it has raised $67m in venture funding from Universal Music Group, Highland Cpaital Partners, Columbia Capital, and Redpoint Ventures. The firm said that it is bringing next-generation broadband wireless services and applications to 18-to-35-year-olds.
