Boingo Takes Czech Republic Wireless
Santa Monica-based Boing Wireless announced that it has inked a roaming agreement with WideNet, a wireless provider in the Czech Republic, to add 36 Wi-Fi hot spots in Prague to Boingo's roaming system. The agreement is the first for Boing in the Czech Republic. Boingo is developing a network of Wi-Fi providers who are linked to a common logon and billing system. Amp'd Mobile Acquires Ninja Mobile Division
Los Angeles-based Amp'd Mobile said this morning that it has acquired Ninja Mobile's development division. ninja Mobile's development division develops technology that is the base for Amp'd mobile blogging, multiplayer gaming, location-based, and other applications. Ninja was a parter for the development of Amp'd mobile's user interface and custom applications for Qualcomm BREW. Terms were not disclosed. Triage Raises $3M
San Diego-based Triage Wireless today announced that it has raised $3M in a Series A funding round. Funding came from 3i and Sanderling Ventures. Triage is developing wireless medical devices for monitoring blood pressure. The company's cuffless technology continuously monitors blood pressure and transmits it to a web site for connection into medical information management systems. Progressive Beverages Gets $1.75M
Culver City-based beverage marketing firm Progressive Beverages announced last week that it has raised a $1.75M Series C round of funding. The round was led by the Tech COast angels, with particupation from the Pasadena Angels. Progressive is marketing an Asian V*dka to the U.S. market. The company said that it will use the funding for accelerating its sales in California and New York. The company said that it will launch it product in New York in early 2006.

Alteer Completes $16.5M Funding Round
Irvine-based Alteer Corporation announced last week that it has raised $16.5M in funding from MedVenture Associates, Sanderling Ventures, and existing investor Skyline Ventures. Alteer is developing software for managing medical practices. The company targets small and mid-sized physician practices in the U.S. with a workflow solution for medical practices.
