GoldPocket Scores Win At Winter Olympics
Los Angeles-based GoldPocket Wireless said yesterday that it has inked a deal with NBC Olympics to provide mobile content for the Winter Olympics. GoldPocket said that it is powering the NBC Olympics Trivia Challenge, a campaign that delivers images, games, and WAP content to phones to NBC viewers. GoldPocket will power the text message-driven service, which will quiz users on the Winter Games, allow users to vote on athletes, and allow for interactive question and answer sessions. Iomega Trumpets 1 Million REV Disks
San Diego-based Iomega, a provider of data storage products, said this week that it has shipped its 1 Millionth REV format removable storage disk. The company said that it has shipped one million of its removable disks in the last 22 months. The company's removable hard drive format supports up to 35 gigabytes of storage. GE Fanuc Buys Condor Engineering
GE Fanuc Embedded Systems, a joint venture between GE and FANUC LTD, has purchased Santa Barbara-based Condor Engineering. Condor Engineering is a supplier of avionics software and test and simulation products. GE said that it has signed an agreement to purchase the assets of Condor. Condor's products include hardware interfaces, APIs, GUI monitoring, and other software for F-16, F-18, F-22, C-17, C-130, Airbus and Boeing aircraft. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Tagworld Adds E-Commerce Features
Santa Monica-based TagWorld, a online social networking startup that recently received funding from Draper Fisher Jurvetson, is announcing today that it has tied in e-commerce features into its services. The firm is tying PayPal into the web site to allow users of the TagWorld site to post items for sale and create their own online stores.
