REVShare Scores $20M
REVShare, a Temecula-based provider of cost-per-action advertising on television, has raised $20M in a venture round, according to The Carlyle Group and H.I.G. Ventures. REVShare operates a bidding system that allows television media providers to sell their inventory to advertisers without revealing the effective rate of their ads. According to Carlyle and H.I.G., REVShare was founded in 1989, and has been profitable since its founding.

Day Software Hires Mindquarry Founders
Newport Beach-based Day Software, a developer of content management and enterprise infrastructure software, said today that it has hired on the founders of Mindquarry, a defunct provider of open source collaborative software. Day said it hired Alexander Klimetschek, Alexander Saar and Lars Trieloff, who founded Mindquarry, which developed wiki software used by project teams to share files, collaborate, and share information. PathConnect Launches Ski Site With Bode Miller
Los Angeles-based PathConnect, a firm which develops Web 2.0, online social networking web sites, has teamed with ski celebrity Bode Miller to launch a new site called SkiSpace.com. Bode Miller is a World Cup skiier and form U.S. Ski Team member. Ryan Blair of PathConnect will serve as the firm's COO, and Bode Miller will serve as CEO. Napster Loses CFO
Los Angeles-based Napster is losing its CFO, the firm said late Monday, announcing that Nand Gangwani will leave the firm at the end of the year. Napster said in a release that Gangwani has decided to step down "for personal reasons." citing Gangwani's commute from the Bay Area to Los Angeles. According to Napster, Gangwani's last day will be December 31st; the firm's VP of Finance, Suzanne M. Colvin, will serve as interim CFO. E-Band Communications Adds $10M
San Diego-based E-Band Communications Corporation, a company developing high-capacity, millimeter-wave wireless transmission systems, said today that it has raised $10M in a Series B funding round. The round came from Reliance Technology Ventures Limited, the venture arm of Reliance ADA Group, and also included ADC Telecommunications, Express Ventures, Hercules Technology Growth Capital, Investec, and an un-named wireless carrier. Smith Micro Buys PCTEL Mobility Solutions Group
Aliso Viejo-based Smith Micro Software, a publisher of software for the mobile and other markets, said Monday that it has entered into a definitive asset purchase agreement to acquire PCTEL's Mobility Solutions Group. The deal is worth $59.7M. PCTEL's group develops software for the 3G, Wi-Fi, WiMax, VoIP, and IMS markets. Smith Micro said the acquisition will expand its technology portfolio, and help it to broaden its customer base.

ID Analytics Adds Executive
San Diego-based ID Analytics said this morning that it has added Peter J. Hopfensperger as Chief Customer Officer. Hopfensperger joins the firm from Equifax, and has also served as an executive at Experian. Hopfensperger has also served at Acxiom, TransUnion, and Message Media. ID Analytics develops software used for preventing identity fraud and for risk management, and is used by companies in the financial services, retailers, communications, healthcare insurance, and other industries.
