Los Angeles-based live video streaming web site will start allowing its users to charge people who want to watch their live video streams, the firm said today. Stickam said its new PayPerLive service allows anyone with a computer, Web cam, and Internet connection to host and charge for live events on the site. Vantage Media Signs Allied Van Lines
El Segundo-based Vantage Media, a provider of search marketing services, said today that it has signed on Allied Van Lines as a customer. According to Vantage Media, Allied Van Lines will use the company to manage all search marketing for the firm on an exclusive basis. Financial impact of the deal was not disclosed. Userplane Gets Win At KickApps
Los Angeles-based Userplane has scored another win with a online community site, this time with KickApps. According to New York-based KickApps, it has partnered with Userplane to integrate Userplane's live chat, instant messaging, and presence functionality into its platform, which is used to create branded online communities for companies and brands. kidthing Ties With Wee Sing
Los Angeles-based Web 2.0 startup kidthing, which is developing a publishing platform for content focused on children, said today that it has inked an agreement with Wee Sing, a provider of children's songs and music videos. AudioMicro Signs Deals
Los Angeles-based AudioMicro, a startup focused on stock audio content, said this week that it has signed two new licensing agreements for content on its site. According to the firm, the firm has been engaged to represent AE Music Publishing Archive, which has over 1,000 full compositions from 8 composers. OGPlanet Scores New Funding
El Segundo-based OGPlanet announced this morning that it has raised a new round of venture capital funding, from DFJ Athena. Amount of the funding was not disclosed. The firm, which develops online multiplayer games, said the funding would go to support the firm's continued growth. OGPlanet licenses and adapts online games from Korea for the U.S. market. OGPlanet has previously received angel funding.
