DivX Buys Streaming Firm
San Diego-based DivX, a developer of media encoding and decoding software, said late Tuesday that it has acquired AnySource Media LLC, a developer of streaming media software which can be used to enable on-demand playback of video on HDTV, Blu-ray disc players, and other consumer electronics devices. DivX said it would pay $7.5M in cash plus up to $7.5M in earnout over three years for AnySource. Webtide Acquired By Intalio
Los Angeles-based Webtide, which develops the popular Jetty Application Server for the Java programming language, has been acquired by Intalio. Intalio announced the buy Tuesday morning, but did not disclose financial terms of the buy. Webtide was self-funded, and was headed by Adam Lieber, who has previously been at Gluecode and Mission Ventures. Animal Cell Therapies Scores $1.1M
San Diego-based Animal Cell Therapies, a biotech firm developing stem cell treatments for animals, has raised $1.1M in a funding round, according to a regulatory filing by the firm Monday. No details on the funding have been released. The firm's CEO is Kathryn Petrucci, and the firm has a collaboration with San Diego's Stemedica, which is developing stem cells for human clinical trials. Aubrey Gets $3.87M
Carlsbad-based Aubrey, a startup developing wound care products that promote wound healing and burn care, has raised $3.87M in a $6.0M venture round, according to a regulatory filing from the firm Monday. Details on the funding have not been released by the firm. Aubrey is headed by E. Aubrey Woodroof.

Mobophiles Opens Beta
Los Angeles-based Mobophiles, a developer of software tools to allow offline access to web sites and enterprise web applications, said today that it has opened up a limited beta program. The startup said that it beta allows customers to access Microsoft Sharepoint sites even when offline, through Internet Explorer. Awarepoint Names Zander To Board
San Diego-based Awarepoint, a developer of real-time location systems for the healthcare market, reported Monday that former Motorola CEO and Sun Microsystems President Ed Zander has joined its board. Zander was most recently chairman and CEO of Motorola, and also served for many years as President and COO of Sun Microsystems. Inphi Hires Operations VP
Westlake Village-based Inphi, a developer of high speed, analog semiconductors, announced today that it has hired on a new VP of Operations, Atul Shingal. Shingal joins the firm from SiRF Technology, where he was also VP operations; Shingal has also served at Globespan Virata, Virata, Cypress Semiconductor, National Semiconductor, and the Tata Group of Companies in India. Rubicon: CPMs Up For Ad Publishers
Los Angeles-based Rubicon Project, which provides online advertising optimization for web publishers, reports this morning that its latest advertising market survey finds that CPMs are up "significantly" in Q2. The firm, which pulls pricing data from publishers and ad networks using its service, said that it is seeing ad pricing jumps as big as 270% among music sites. RoyaltyShare Extends Canadian Services
San Diego-based RoyaltyShare, a provider of digital royalty accounting for music publishers, said today that it has expanded its royalty services for Canadian music labels. The firm said it now can process mechanical royalties owed to the Canadian Musical Reproduction Rights Agency (CMRRA) and Canadian based publishers. Metabasis Therapeutics Loses CEO
San Diego-based Metabasis Therapeutics reported this morning that the firm's President, CEO, and Chief Scientific Officer, Mark Erion, is leaving the firm. According to Metabasis, Erion is leaving the firm for Merck, to become Vice President and Worldwide Basic Franchise head of Diabetes and Obesity at that company. Erion also resigns as diriector of the company. Metabasis said that David Hale takes over as executive chairman. The company is developing drugs for treating metabolic diseases.

MyShape Confirms Funding
Glendale-based MyShape, which operates an online retailer focused on matching women to clothing based on their body type, confirmed this morning that it has raised a third round of venture funding. The firm said the round was led by DFJ Growth Fund, and also included Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Tenaya Capital, the Pasadena Angels, and the Tech Coast Angels.
