Amgen Donates $2M To Haiti Earthquake Relief
Thousand Oaks-based Amgen said Thursday that it is donating $2M to Haiti relief efforts, as well as encourage its staff to contribute their own funds to organizations aiding in relief and rebuilding efforts in the country. According to Amgen, it will match, dollar-for-dallar, all staff contributions via a new Disaster Relief Program web site for its staff.

Make It Work Expands Radio Show Into San Francisco
Santa Barbara-based Make It Work, the home computer installation, repair, and assistance firm run by Eric David Greenspan, is expanding into the San Francisco Bay Area with a new radio show. The firm is launching a new show on KSFO 560 San Francisco (Citadel/ABC Radio), running on Saturdays at 3pm, with the first show tomorrow. Mogreet Powers Hotel's Mobile Marketing Campaign
Los Angeles-based Mogreet, the mobile video marketing firm run by James Citron, said earlier this week that it has powered a mobile marketing campaign for Hotel Casa del Mar in Santa Monica. The firm--which recently expanded its offerings from video greeting cards to also include mobile video marketing services--did not disclose the financial impact of the deal. TrueCar Looks To Predict Hot Cars
Santa Monica-based TrueCar, the auto pricing data firm headed by Scott Painter, announced Friday that it is looking to measure the ratings of the "hottest" vehicles from its data, with a new web service called TrueBuzz. The firm said the new vehicle pricing prediction service will offer prediction in consumer interest in new vehicles, based on site traffic, automotive media coverage, blog postings, dealership pre-orders, and other data. Xirrus Wins Michigan University
Thousand Oaks-based Xirrus, a developer of Wi-Fi networking devices which provide higher bandwidth and coverage than standard Wi-Fi access points, reported this week that it has deployed its Wi-Fi arrays at Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, Michigan. Slacker Expands Radio Service To Canada
San Diego-based Slacker, the personalized Internet radio service backed by Mission Ventures, Austin Ventures, Centennial Ventures, Rho Ventures, and Sevin Rosen Funds, reported Thursday that it has expanded its service into Canada. Slacker said that it has expanded its service to Canada through its web site, along with free applications for BlackBerry and Android phones. SYSPRO Scores New Jersey Firm
Costa Mesa-based SYSPRO, a developer of enterprise resource planning tools, has won a contract in New Jersey with City Theatrical, a lighting accessories manufacturer. Size of the win was not disclosed. SYSPRO said it won over proposals from competitors Infor, Epicor, and Made to Manage in the deal.

Ondax Names New CEO
Monrovia-based Ondax, a manufacturer of holographic filters and semiconductor lasers for the industrial, defense, scientific and medical markets, announced this week that it has named Randy Heyler as its President and CEO. Kofax Signs Progressive Insurance
Irvine-based Kofax, a developer of document management and automation products, reported Thursday that it has signed automotive insurer Progressive Casualty Insurance Corporation. Kofax said the win was worth approximately $500,000. Kofax said Progressive Insurance will use its MarkView for Accounts Payable software to automate the processing of its non-claims based invoices.
