Fulcrum Micro Raises $15M
Calabasas-based Fulcrum Microsystems, which develops high speed switching semiconductors, has raised $15.02M in a funding round, according to a regulatory filing by the firm earlier this month. No details on the funding have been released by the company, which has previously raised funding from Granite Ventures, Infinity Capital, New Enterprise Associates, and Palomar Ventures. The funding brings the company's total raised to over $113M in six rounds of funding.

Cynvenio Biosystems Names VPs
Westlake Village-based Cynvenio Biosystems announed this morning that the firm has appointed two new VPs. According to Cynvenio, it has added David J. Sauvageau as the firm's Vice President, Engineering and Product Development, and Dr. Paul W. Dempsey as Vice President, BioEngineering, Research & Development. Sauvageau has served at Boston Scientific, Medtronics, Smith & Newphew, and Texas Instruments. Leads360 Teams With Five9 On Win
Los Angeles-based Leads360, a developer of leads management software, has tied with call center software firm Five9, to boost a joint customer, mortgage lender Call4You. According to Five9, it "significantly improved" Call4You's customer win rates after the company deployed a joint solution from Leads360 and Five9. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed.

SpaceX Claims Communications Advance
Hawthorne-based SpaceX, the commercial rocket firm headed by Elon Musk, announced today that it has activated a new spacecraft communications systems for its Dragon spacecraft. The firm--which is in the midst of testing various parts of its new Dragon--said the firm has successfully tested the system to communicate with SpaceX and NASA during tests in January and March. Boingo Ties To iTunes, iPad
Los Angeles-based Boingo Wireless, which operates a network of Wi-Fi hotspots, said today that it is now allowing iPod touch, iPhone, and iPad users to buy wireless service through a new application. According to Boingo, it has created a new app--available on the Apple App store--which allows users to purchase Wi-Fi credits at its worldwide network of hotspots. Response Genetics Loses CFO
Los Angeles-based Response Genetics, a firm developing molecular diagnostic tests for cancer, announced this morning that its Chief Financial Officer, Thomas Stankovich, has resigned. The firm said that Stankovich resigned to "pursue other interests." The firm said that Eric Alcorn, the firm's VP of Finance and Administration, will assume CFO responsibilities while the firm conducts a search for a replacement.
