Million Dollar Data.com Domain Goes To Salesforce.com
The huge, $1.5 million dollar domain name sale of Data.com by Los Angeles-based Oversee.net's Moniker division went to Salesforce.com, according to a report from DomainNameWire. The sale looks to be the largest domain name sale so far this quarter. OVersee had disclosed the sale earlier this week, but had not named the buyer of the domain. The domain had been owned by UBM plc.

YouMail Updates Blackberry App
Irvine-based YouMail, the provider of enhanced voicemail and other communications apps for the smart phone market, reported today that it has released a new update to its application for BlackBerry. According to YouMail, the new app now includes the ability to browse user-created voicemail greetings within the app and one-click search for a user's phone number from within the app. The firm said its BlackBerry users are "probably its most ardent" of all of its users. Givezooks Adds Facebook Ticketing For Nonprofits
Santa Barbara-based Givezooks, a developer of social fundraising software for nonprofits, told its users today that it has launched a new way to allow nonprofits to offer up tickets or sponsorships of their events from Facebook, as well as from their website. According to Givezooks, its new Facebook App allows organizations to put up events on their Facebook page. Gaikai Signs First European Partner
Los Angeles-based Gaikai, the developer of cloud game streaming technology, reported today that it has added its first partner in Europe. The firm said it has signed consumer games Eurogamer as its first media affiliate in Europe, as part of its affiliate program. The deal allows Eurogamer to stream Gaikai-powered gaimes across its various local language sites. San Diego Gets Live Bus Updates From Google
Google said today that it has enhanced its online mapping service, to provide live, real time updated transit updates for San Diego and a number of other cities. Google said its Maps product now provides live, departure times of buses and other transit, accessible both via desktop and mobile versions of its service. Other cities with the new, live updates include Boston, Portland Oregon, San Francisco, Madrid, and Turin.

CapLinked Leverages LinkedIn For Suggestions
Los Angeles-based CapLinked, the developer of software aimed at helping companies manage the fundraising process, is rolling out a new feature today which taps a user's LinkedIn contacts to suggest who to invite into deals and other business opportunities. Paramount Promotes Super 8 With Twitter
Paramount Pictures has kicked off a promotion of the upcoming movie SUPER 8 with Twitter, the two announced today, by running a special sneak preview promotion only available to Twitter users. According to Paramount, Twitter users will be able to buy tickets for a special, June 9th showing of the movie from a Twitter "Promoted Trend" at select, participating theaters. Boingo Wireless Reports Quarterly Results
Los Angeles-based Boingo Wireless, the operator of a network of Wi-Fi access points, has reported its first quarterly results as a public company. Boingo said it had revenues of $21.0M, up from $18.5M for the first quarter of 2010. The firm reported a net loss of $329,000, versus a net loss of $127,000 for Q1 last year. RingRevenue Powers Education Marketer
Santa Barbara-based RingRevenue, the pay-per-call technology provider headed by Jason Spievak, has been powering a pay-per-call system for education marketer CUnet. The firm revealed the relationship today, claiming that use of its system has helped with the quality and quantities of inquiries for a number of schools and universities served by CUNet.
