Surf Air Launches Startup Airline Out Of Muckerlab
Tired of being herded like cattle on your regular trip between Los Angeles and Palo Alto? Los Angeles-based Surf Air just launched today, emerging out of the MuckerLab accelerator, saying that it is looking to turn the airline industry on its head with a subscription-based, all you can fly airline initially targeting commuters between Silicon Valley and Los Angeles. Hunger Games Pushes Surge In Sales For Fandango
The popularity of "The Hunger Games" has apparently helped out Los Angeles-based Fandango, which sells online and mobile tickets to movie-goers, as the firm said Thursday that it had the best selling, first quarter in the company's history. Fandango said that it saw a 127 percent year over year increase in ticket sales, and a 58 percent year over over year increase in monthly visitors, on the heels of the release of The Hunger Games. BlackLine In Alliance With KPMG
Los Angeles-based BlackLine Systems, the developer of financial close software headed by Therese Tucker, has signed a major deal with accounting and auditing firm KPMG, the company reported this morning. CODA Automotive Selects Charging Station Installer
Los Angeles-based CODA Automotive, the manufacturer of electric cars, said this morning that it has selected a preferred, EV charging station installation partner.
