Lynda.com Gets Award For Job Creation
Lynda.com, the site which helps people learn software and other skills from online videos, has been recognized for its job creation, the firm said Friday, ranking number 1 in job creation in education by Inc. magazine. The company said it filled nearly 200 jobs from 2008 to 2011, tops in the Education industry. Lynda.com's online site offers up instructional courses on everything from software like Photoshop to Wordpress, and Excel to AutoCAD. New Report Details Technology Job Concentration In Region
A new report issued today, detailing technology jobs employment concentration in the United States, shines some light on where the highest concentrations of tech jobs are in the region. According to the report, issued by the Bay Area Council Economic Institute, three areas in Southern California ranked among the top 25 metro areas for high-tech employment concentration. TrueCar Powers AAA Carolinas
TrueCar, the online auto pricing and operator of auto buying programs said Thursday that AAA Carolinas has partnered with the company, and will use TrueCar to power its online auto buying program. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed. AAA Carolinas serves over 1.8 million members in North and SOuth Carolina. TrueCar said AAA Carolinas is the 18th AAA organization which is powering their auto buying program with TrueCar. TrueCar is based in Santa Monica.

Brand Affinity Technologies Wins CBS Interactive
Irvine-based Brand Affinity Technologies, the startup led by Ryan and Chad Steelberg focused on the fan and celebrity market, said Thursday that its Printroom fan photography division has been selected by CBS Interactive. BAT said that Printroom has been selected to operate the official, online photo stores for the majority of CBS Intearctive's 95 college sports teams. Financial impact of the deal was not disclosed.
