NetDNA Targets Asian Content Delivery Network Services
Los Angeles-based content delivery network operator NetDNA is ramping up its efforts to provide CDN services in Asia, the company said Friday. NetDNA said it will provide accelerated traffic through its Singapore point-of-presence, for a flat $10 per month for existing customers of its MaxCDN service. NetDNA said its flat rate compares to the "hundreds or tens of thousands" of dollars that competitive CDNs charge for per-megabit acceleration. Fandango Debuts New Movie Buzz Indicator
Los Angeles-based movie ticketing site Fandango is debuting a new tool to predict interest in upcoming weekend movies, which it calls "Fanticipation". According to the company, the new tool measures moviegoer excitement and helps to predict the films that fans will be most interested at the weekend box office. UberMedia Launches iOS Advertising Tool
UberMedia, the Pasadena-based startup developing third party, Twitter clients and other mobile apps, said yesterday that it has launched a new mobile ad campaign product called Appvertise. The Idealab startup said the app lets developers create and run rich media, mobile banner ads to drive traffic to their app's download page and increase download for their iOS application. Teledyne Wins $350M NASA Contract
Thousand Oaks-based Teledyne Technologies, the diversified electronics, instrumentation, aerospace and defense firm, reported Thursday that its subsidiary, Teledyne Brown Engineering, has won a $350M NASA Engineering contract.
