TigerText Bolsters Board
Santa Monica-based secure, text-messaging provider TigerText, which provides its services to both the healthcare and enterprise markets, has bolstered its board today with two appointments. The company said it has added Perry Wallack, the co-founder and CFO of Cornerstone onDemand, and Dr. Andrew Brooks to its board. Wallack helped found Cornerstone OnDemand, and grew the company from its early days through its IPO in 2011. Brooks is a co-founder of TigerText, and also founded Specialty Surgical (More info...)

Chippmunk Raises $750,000 For Coupon Search Engine
Los Angeles-based Chippmunk said this morning that it has raised $750,000, for the company's shopping search engine--which helps users with comparison shopping, finding coupons, and with expert shopping recommendations. Rubicon Project Bolsters Team With Four VP Hires
Los Angeles-based Rubicon Project has named three new VPs this morning, saying it has named Anthony "Tony" Katsur, Mari Kim Novak, Ryan Polley and Shekhar Yadav as new VPs at the company. Katsur has been named Senior Vice President, Business Operations; Novak as Senior Vice President, Global Advertising Solutions; Polley as Senior Vice President, Business Development; and Yadav as Senior Vice President, Open Platform. MomentFeed Raises $5.5M
Santa Monica-based MomentFeed, which develops mobile marketing software which lets marketers understand correlate the activities of mobile users with the physical locations of those consumers, said this morning that it has raised $5.5M in a Series A funding round. The funding was led by Signia Venture Partners, along with Draper Nexus, DFJ Frontier, Double M Partners, and Daher Capital. Plug.dj Finds $1.25M For Music, Video Sharing Service
Los Angeles-based Plug.dj, an online music and video sharing service, has raised $1.25M in a funding round, to bolster the company's product. The funding came from Javelin Venture Partners. The firm, which is led by Alex Reinlieb, said it will use the new funds to expand its team, develop its product, launch new services, and improve community support. Zadara Gets Win In Switzerland
Irvine-based cloud-based storage service provider Zadara Storage reports a win this morning in Switzerland, with Swisstopo, the federal mapping agency for the Swiss confederation. Zadara said that Swisstopo is using its Virtual Private Storage Array (VPSA) storage service. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed. RxVantage Debuts Corporate Subscription Plans
Los Angeles-based RxVantage, the venture-backed startup developing cloud-based, scheduling software for managing the interaction of physicians and biopharmaceutical and medical sales representatives, said today that it has rolled out a new corporate subscription program. According to the company, the subscription program is aimed at biopharma companies, to help them increase the number of educational interactions their reps have with physicians. EDF Renewable Energy In Wind Farm Deal With UBS
San Diego-based renewable energy developer EDF Renewable Energy has inked a wind farm financing deal with the UBS International Infrastructure Fund, where UBS will acquire 50 percent equity interest in EDF's 161 megawatt Spinning Spur II wind farm project. Financial details of the funding deal were not announced. EDF's Spinning Spur II project is based in Oldham County, Texas, and is expected to go into operation in 2014.
