LA City Council Clears Uber, Lyft For LAX Pickup
The Los Angeles City Council has voted to let ridesharing services like Uber and Lyft go ahead and pick up passengers at Los Angeles International (LAX), despite an earlier delay. The vote, which was 9-6, is the first time that the ridesharing services have gained access to the airport, which had barred all but licensed taxi and airport transportation companies from entering. Conversion Logic Names Product Head
Los Angeles-based Conversion Logic, the marketing attribution technology startup backed by Rincon Venture Partners, Crosscut Ventures, Lerer Hippeau Ventures, TenOneTen, Founder Collective and Raptor Ventures, said today that it has named Dan Cox as Head of Product. Cox was most recently Senior Director of Product Management at MarketShare, and also served at Mediaphormedia and on the board of the Django Software Foundation.

Velocify Ties Sales Lead Tools Into Ellie Mae
Los Angeles-based sales lead management software developer Velocify says it has tied its software into the Encompass mortgage management software from Ellie Mae, allowing lenders to access its software directly through their loan origination processes. According to Velocify, the integration will help loan officers respond quickly to prospective borrowers and stay focused on the highest priority sales opportunities. Resonant Creates Advisory Board
Santa Barbara-based Resonant, a developer of radio frequency front ends, says it has created an advisory board, to help it commercialize its designs. The company said the first two members of the board are Sean Curry and Chris Conlin. Curry was previously Senior Sales Director and Director of Key Global Accounts at Avago Technologies, where he had spent 26 years of his career. RealD Claims Patent Wins
Los Angeles-based 3D movie projection technology developer RealD said today that it has reinforced its global IP protection, after a number of patent wins. According to RealD, one of its patents was recently reaffirmed by the Australian Patent Office, after a re-examination request by what it called a "struggling competitor", and a similar win at the US Patent and Trademark Office. Yardi Wins Australian Customer
Santa Barbara-based property management software developer Yardi reported a win late Monday afternoon in Australia, with Australian property investor DeMartini Fletcher. Financial details of the win was not announced. Yardi said DeMartini Fletcher has selected its Yardi Voyager 7S as its new property management and accounting platform.
