Triton Digital Extends Audio Ad Exchange Into France
Los Angeles-based audio advertising exchange operator Triton Digital said today that it is launching a new, programmatic audio advertising exchange in France, after inking a partnership with French company NRJ Global. According to Triton Digital, the deal will enable programmatic purchase of targeted online and mobile audio impressions in France, starting with NRJ Group's web radio stations. Fandango Launches New R&D Group, FandangoLabs
Los Angeles-based movie information and ticketing provider Fandango has booted up a new, research and development group called FandangoLabs, the company said this morning. Fandango said the new unit will create innovative moviegoing products and services, focused on such areas as location-based services, social commerce, augmented and virtual reality, interactive video, and personalization, among others. IDrive Launches New, $10M Startup Fund
Calabasas-based IDrive, the provider of online backup storage led by Raghu Kulkarni, has launched a new, $10M startup fund called IDrive Ventures, the company said Friday. The company said it has already investe in four different companies out of the fund. IDrive did not say what the criteria for investment from its new investment fund will be. The company disclosed it has alredy made investments in Cymmetria, Fresco, ScopeAR, and Zenflow.

Los Angeles-based Internet services operator J2 Global has gobbled up nine more companies, the company announced this morning, across five different countries. Obvious Ventures To Announce $50,000 Investment Prize In Hollywood Next Week

Teledyne Cuts Outlook On Sales Slowdown In Energy Markets
Thousand Oaks-based Teledyne Technologies said this morning that it is cutting its outlook for the third quarter and full year, due to decline in sales in energy-related products. The company said the decline came in sales of its marine and electronic test and measurement instrumentation, which it blamed on a slowdown in the energy markets. Wellington Financial Launches New $300M Fund
Venture lending and specialty finance provider Wellington Financial, which has offices in Santa Monica, said late last week that it has closed on a new, $300M fund. The company said its $300M Fund V goes towards providing growth capital to Canadian and U.S. companies. The company says its team is represented by Eric Speer in Santa Monica, in addition to an office in Silicon Valley.
